My Makeup Collection

Hey Guys! So Today I wanted to just do a blog on how much my makeup collection has changed over the past few months! I store it pretty boringly in boxes in drawers of my desk and it is by no means a huge collection but I think its way more than any average person needs! but I love trying it all out and being able to mix things up every day and I love art and I see makeup as a form of art and expression. So Please don't be negative. I was thinking of doing a makeup collection on youtube but I don't think its big enough yet!

So This is my makeup collection back in June. At this point in time it all fit in the one drawer, it didn't even fill the drawer as you can see I have body butters and random things in a big box in the back and this was kind of what I already had in my collection plus a few things I'd brought since getting really into different makeup and since I got my job and could afford to spend more on my makeup. All in all its still more than most people have because I am a bit of a hoarder but this was back when it was pretty much all the stuff out of my makeup bag into the drawer so I could see it all properly.
 This was in august. as you can see the products fill the whole drawer now and I have accumulated a lot more makeup! I moved a lot of stuff around, took out the nail polish and body butter stuff and I really liked how it looked for a certain amount of time. This set up only got changed because as you can see there started to be a lot of products on top of other products and as far as blush goes I was running out of room completely! So I created my current set up!
This is my current set up! To make the whole thing neater I split it into 2 drawers but as you can see it doesn't take up the entire 2 drawers. I've basically managed to make separate sections for most products and stop the stacking issue that was annoying me soo much (appart from lippies)
I have separate sections for mascara, eyeshadow, eyeliners, face powders/blushes/bronzers, concealers, foundations, lipsticks, lipstains/liquid lipsticks/lipgloss/lip liner, and finally lip balm.
I have an amazing vintage Dairy box tin which stores all of my hair bands and hair pins and it was brought for me by my auntie! I love it so much!

Anyway, I'm quite happy with my current set up. Ideally I'd like to find some sort of acrylic storage drawers for my makeup as I love those and I've seen so many makeup collection videos on youtube with them in and I think they look so good! but for now my set up works for me and Its easy for me to grab products in the morning!

If theres anything you want to know/see or any video requests please feel free to leave a comment! I love hearing from you!

Budget Bronzers! Best for under £5!!

Hey Guys, so today I want to talk to you about two amazing bronzers you can pick up at superdrug for no more than £5.

 The first is this NYC Big bold bronzer in the shade Manhattan! Its a fantastically pigmented bronzer which gives an amazing sunkissed finish!
Being as pale as I am, finding a bronzer I can build up without making me orange is challenging and this one does fall under the "light dusting" category for me but none the less is a fantastic bronzer!
This normally retails at £3.99 but theres the ocassional offers and deals on in superdrug so you can pick this up for cheaper - I managed to get it at £2.99. Massive saving I know!

For the size and pigmentation of the product I think this is a must have bronzer and I would recommend this to anyone!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The other bronzer is the MUA bronzed perfection bronzer. Now this one is less terracotta in shade and is more brown toned so is great as a contour! Its really pigmented, really buildable and gives a great finish.
This one again can turn a little orange if i really pack on the bronzer in the cheekbone area but anyone who is darker than me (most of the population) shouldn't have too much of an issue.
This bronzer retails at £3 so its cheaper than the NYC one and is about the same size. This one however does get rather chalky. One thing that makes me preference the NYC is the fact that no matter how much I swirl my brush into it I don't get the product creating piles of dust around the edge. The MUA one does suffer with this so be warned!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So guys, Thats my two recommendations for affordable yet efficient bronzers! Please let me know what your favourite bronzers from the highstreet are and stay tuned for more posts :)

Maybelline baby lips - Review!

 Hey Everyone!!
So, as promised, here is my review of the Maybelline Baby lips which became available in boots this week! I am now the proud owner of all 6 types and if you want them too I suggest going online to boots now as it is 3 for 2 on Maybelline so you can get all 6 for the price of 4!! They are £2.99 each if you arn't as wild as me and realise you only have the one pair of lips!

So, as shown above, each individual Lip balm has a different colour which I think is really nice, they are all bright colours and I am just a huge fan of it! It doesn't look expensive but its £2.99 so who really cares what its in!
So, these are essentially lip balms but slightly different. I find they look more glossy but without the sticky effect of a gloss and they soften my lips so much! They work in the style of a lipstick where you twist the base to access the product. All the balms also have SPF 20 in them so are great for summer as they will stop any burning of the lips (Yes that does happen, and trust me, Its painful!)

I am starting with the blue one (going left to right like a madman) which is the "Hydrate" version.
As you can see it is a clear stick so there is absolutely no colour change on the lips at all which is good for places like school where you can't really wear makeup. It's also good for people who like to have something on their lips but don't like strong colours or stick lip glosses.
It has a slight sent which smells to me slightly fruity like a sweet but its not strong and its very very slight. I can already tell this is going to be much loved!

Next is the purple edition!! This one is in "peach kiss" and as you can see in the picture it is not a clear stick but more of a beige-nude colour.
This smells delicious! It actually smells like peach which is just lovely to have on your lips. Its just so so refreshing but not overpowering! Maybelline know their stuff!
As for colour, it gives more of a sheer finish. Don't look at the image like "omg it looks like a lipstick" its really not strong, if anything its the lightest bit of colour that its barely noticeable but still nice. Again, nice for people who maybe don't like wearing strong colours but want something there.

This is one of my favourites and this is the "Mint fresh" edition and yes, you've guessed it, it has a mint scent!
It's literally good enough to eat, just smelling it right now is just lush ahh this will probably be one of the first ones I'll have to repurchase because I am a massive mint maniac!
This again has no colour and is just a nice refreshing balm on the lips. As with all the baby lips, I find it gives a bit of a glossy, shiny look without being sticky or too thick.

On to the yellow one! Apologies that this one kind of blended into the background a bit. Lip balms gone camo!  My nails also match! yay!
Anyway this is the "intense care" edition which I'm assuming is just more moisturising for those who suffer with dry lips and need that help to keep them nice and soft.
This again has a lovely fragrance which is softer and less fruity than the blue "hydrate" formula. Its very slight but still really nice.

Picture decided to turn funny but oh well! This is the orange "Cherry Me" Edition which is by far my favourite! It smells amazing! As you can probably  guess it is a cherry scent but its just so sweet and so yummy that I just want to take a bite of the lip balm (don't worry, I won't!)
This one is a pink colour and with this one especially I do notice colour on the lips but again its very very sheer and not at all strong. Its a nice dark pink which since its not a strong colour is very flattering and would suit most people.

And last but not least, Is the Pink "pink punch" edition. This smells so fruity! It smells exactly like fanta fruit twist. No word of a lie! If you love that drink you will love the scent of this as I am now craving a glass like crazy!
Its a bright pink stick but I really don't notice much change on the lips so would be practical again for school or something where you need lip protection but arn't allowed makeup.

So guys! That is all the Maybelline baby lips! I hope all you UK residents are as excited as I am about these and trust me when I say that these are totally worth the £2.99 they cost. I'm not sure they are available in stores yet because I ordered mine online literally the first day possible so If anyone does know please leave a comment or something if you've seen them!
I hope this was useful!

Barry M Nail polishes - Limited Edition Green | AmyyCon

Hey Guys, so today I am going to talk to you about the limited edition Barry M nail polish I picked up the other week.

Now, I loved the colour when I saw it. The bright neon green really caught my eye and I was so excited to try it. After trying all My gelly hi-shines which I adore and am in complete love with, I decided to finally try this one.

I was rather disappointed to apply a first coat and have the colour a dismal yellowy green which made my nails look hideous. A second coat made little difference. Although it made it greener it was still very translucent and the whites of the nails show through. Finally, with a third coat, I was reasonably happy. The green shows a little more and although it isn't the greatest formulation its manageable. However due to the fact it takes at least 3 coats to be wearable I would not recommend picking this up! Even for £3.99 there are better nail polishes on the market and this one just isn't up to scratch with the quality of Barry M nail paints normally.
Such a shame!

Topshop brushes! | AmyyCon

Hey guys - Today I'm going to talk about the Topshop range of brushes!

This the set of 5 brushes which were reduced from £18 to £10 in the sale and are also available at john lewis for £10.  Now I love the appearance of the brushes, they have clear plastic handles and plain black brush heads. Simple and it works.
However in this set there are 3 brushes I love and 2 that for me come up slightly disappointing.

The Top brush is the blush/powder brush. I love this brush. It's very soft and picks up the exact amount of powder to apply to your face and does not apply it patchy or cakey. It doesn't absorb the powder either, so a light brush across the powder will fill the brush head. I love this and use it for my face powder, bronzer and blush. Its so practical.
The second brush down is the angled brush which again I love. Its soft but stiff so you have full control over it. Its thin and perfectly lined which is great for eyebrows and applying powder along the lash line. This has got to be my favourite brush in this set simply for how amazing I find it to be.
The middle brush is the shading brush. I like this brush, It does what it says, its soft and blends perfectly and i just use this to blend out my eyeshadow and blend it under my eyes and it works very well.

Now for the disappointing brushes. The second one from the bottom I just didn't know what to do with. I tried it with concealer and it was useless. I might attempt it as an eyeshadow brush but I have so many of those. It just seems a bit useless.
The bottom brush is an eyelid brush for eyeshadow. This just gets the eyeshadow EVERYWHERE!!! It's too big for me, I find it hard to control and end up with the powder everywhere and for me this brush is just too big and didn't do what it was supposed to.

For £10 I think the 3 brushes that are amazing are worth it. I wouldn't buy again simply because I wouldn't want anymore of the brushes I can't use. But for a cheap set of brushes these are of reasonable quality!

Now I also brought a single brush

This is their eyeshadow brush in neon pink which was a measly £4! Not only do I love the colour of the brush and how the brush head also is pink, this works amazingly! It's not too big so it's easy to control and the eyeshadow goes simply where you want it. I find there is little excess powder on the brush and it just applies it really well. I can't wait to try some of the other brushes in the range!

So I hope this helped you! Please check out my youtube channel which is AmyyCon for hauls and other videos when I get some Ideas! Thanks guys! :)

News in Makeup | E.L.F Little Black Beauty Book

Hi all!

So Today Just wanted to do a quick talk about my experience with E.L.F cosmetics and in particular the product I have which is this black beauty book.

This was brought for me as a present from America as E.L.F cannot be brought in stores in the U.K and is only available to buy online. This can be a bit of an issue as you cannot test products or swatch them before hand but as they are such low prices even if you realise you dislike the product you haven't lost a great deal of money.

I have no idea why the image is upside-down but I apologise for the fact my palette is quite messy. As you can see, one side is eyeshadows and the other side contains a mirror and a selection of lip glosses. This is the cool collection which is why its a variety of blues, greens, and purples. Now these are not colours I wear often if ever so this palette rarely gets used as far as eyeshadows are concerned - with the exception of the white which I hit pan on and is very well loved. I find they don't have the greatest staying power and arn't the best formula but considering they tend to be a low price I wouldn't complain.
On the other hand, the lipglosses are very used and I have hit pan on a few of them. There is a good selection of warm colours which are nicely pigmented and I used to wear a lot as a lipstick substitute. There are a few colours I haven't used much but mostly the colours are very wearable and also nice if to blend together.
Now this is a common palette problem when you have gellish and cream consistencies in with powders and that is that you find the powders break up and dust from them ends up in the other product. As you may be able to see, the black eyeshadow has mixed slightly with a few of the lipglosses where the book has been closed. Also the powder covers the mirror often so i find its easier to use my main mirror instead of cleaning the little one each time.
This is of course not a new palette, I have infact had it for about a year so that contributes slightly to that issue but as I doubt anyone would use this up quickly I would just say its a thing to look out for. If for example they had a plastic insert inbetween the two sides that would maybe prevent this.

Overall I love this product for its handy size and variety and is great for on a budget. I would definitely buy another.

News in Makeup | Rimmel and Collection

Hey Guys! and yes you've guessed it, more reviews!

 Today, the products I'm looking at are the Rimmel scandal eyes mascara, the Rimmel stay matte powder, and the Collection lasting perfection concealer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, Mascara is something I cannot live without. I hate false lashes and stay away from them as much as I can but I still love hugely defined Lashes. This mascara was perfect for me as the brush is huge allowing a lot of application in a small amount of time.
My only complaint is when i first got it, there was a lot of excess product on the brush which made the lashes a bit too clumpy, so make sure to have an eyelash brush or dry mascara brush on hand to just brush through after.
Other than that, its a brilliant mascara, makes my eyelashes look full and thick and I will definitely be repurchasing.
This retails at around £6.99 but look out for offers as I managed to get mine as a free gift!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The stay matte powder is one of my favourite things. So much so that I currently have 2 because I really don't want to run out. It really helps mattify foundation and removed any excess shine that you wouldn't want.
I love this powder!
Personally, I would stear away from transparent, just because I love to try and add a little colour to my face because I am exceptionally pale. However I stick within the first 5 or so colours so I'm not branching out hugely!

This powder is a steal at £3.99. If you can, get one. Its fantastic!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is the much raved about Collection Lasting perfection concealer and I'm going to say now, I understand the hype. Apart from the fact I picked up too light a shade (hard to do but I managed) I find this amazing. Its not too heavy but thick so leaves a good coverage.
As mine is too light, I double it as a highlighter and just rub it across my cheekbones - that works too!
I am repurchasing in a darker shade and then I'm sure I could rave about this even more! I can't wait.
This product retails at around £4.19 and many a beauty guru have said how good it is for a high street product. I recommend this product!
Well guys! Thats it for another review! Thanks for reading!
News In Makeup | Topshop, Sleek and Rimmel
Hey Guys, So today I want to talk about 3 other products that are a combination of new and old.
They are the Rimmel Wake me up foundation, The sleek blush and the Topshop lipstick.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The first product I want to talk to you about is the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. This foundation is one of my favourites I have ever tried. Not only does it feel light and refreshing on the skin but it has a rather good coverage and leaves my skin looking dewy and healthy.
I have the colour Ivory which I believe is the lightest available which is a shame because I personally could do with a lighter shade. None the less an amazing buy and I recommend this to anyone who loves a god liquid foundation.
If you find you have dry skin I would maybe stay away from this as I find if I do have any dry patches that it sticks around them and doesn't have as nice a finish.
It retails at £8.99 but is often available in offers if you time them right.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next product I am going to talk about is the Topshop lipstick. This is one of my newer purchases as I have ventured into the world of lipstick having been a lip gloss girl before.  I found this lipstick to be very pigmented, very moisturising and just had a lovely finish. I put on lip balms before I apply lipstick because I do suffer from dry lips and I think this just worked really well.
This is the colour Ohh La La which is a lovely pinkish coral colour - perfect for summer. It looks brighter in the photo than it does on the lips I promise!
I have really pale skin and I thought this would look terrible on me and I am still unsure of the shade but none the less the lipstick itself was fantastic and I am very excited to add more of these to my collection in the future.
For £8 a lipstick these are a bargin as they are a much better quality than some of the drugstore ones and yet are under £10. If you are looking for a staple lip colour check out the topshop range!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Next up is my sleek blush in the shade Rose Gold which is a dupe for the very famous Nars Orgasm blush. This colour is incredible and for those who can't afford the £21.50 price tag of a nars blush, these sleek versions are a fantastic alternative. They even have similar packaging!
The colour comes out lovely and shimmery. Its a pinkish colour with gold sparkle which is just a lovely summer colour and I have been using this every day!
Highly pigmented and a fantastic bargin at £4.49. You can order sleek online or find it in superdrug.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That's all for this post guys! I hope you liked it, be sure to subscribe to my youtube channel where I will do reviews of products and my haul videos!
News in makeup | Mua, Sleek, Barry M and Revlon
Okay, so today I had a little bit or a splurge - to add to the one I already had last week.
So, I got the Mua Heaven and Earth Palette, the sleek contour kit in light, and 3 barry M nail paints, 2 gelly high in the colours prickly pear, and greenberry. Then I spotted the limited edition bright green nail paint and just had to pick it up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is the Heaven and Earth palette from Mua. I'm a massive fan of neutral and natural tones so this looked ideal for me and a bargin at £4. I swatched some of the colours and some of them are great whilst others are disappointing. Some of the colours have very very slight pigmentation so they are barely visible once applied to the skin - bit of a disappointment.
But the colours that do show up well look lovely, and although without a primer I doubt they would last a huge length of time they do look lovely all the same, and theres a lot to be done with this palette - perfect for on a budget.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 This is the contour kit from sleek. I have heard fabulous things about this and really wanted to try it as my bronzer is running low. When I swatched these, they looked lovely on my skin tone. As I am quite pale I don't want anything too dark which will come up orange or look ridiculous - but this is perfect! The highlighter also has a nice finish and shimmer which adds a brightness. This set was £6.49 which I feel is a massive bargin with the quality of sleek products. This is definitely a favourite of mine!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As For the nail polishes - I am a massive Barry M fan. They have a fantastic range of colours and at a very low price. I love them. After buying the colours Guava and Mango last week I couldn't resist buying 2 more. I cannot rave about these enough. The colour range for the gelly hi shine is a bit limited being a few dark shades and then a lot of bright or pastel colours but the shades they have chosen are wonderful spring/summer colours which I know will be on my nails all the time.
In superdrug at the moment, the limited edition colour was free if you spent over £6 on Barry M products. The limited edition options were the bright green I picked up or a bright pink. These looked great together and both colours are very wearable. I might even be in there again next week to pick up the other colour!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I forgot to include in the photo but I also picked up a Revlon lip butter in Sweet tart. I thought it was a bit risky as It looked like a very bright pink and not at all what I'm used to but on the lips it looked a lot nicer and very wearable. I also love the formulation - It almost feels like I'm wearing a balm. I suggest these to anyone who wants a new lip colour. They are amazing.
Thats all for this time guys, but be sure to subscribe to my youtube channel for more beauty related chatter! Thanks! :)
